A little video I made of our family's trip out east to Nova Scotia. Narrated by my son Kai, who at the time was almost two.
This trip (and video) wouldn't have been the same if we hadn't stayed at the following Airbnb accommodation in Cheticamp, which was beautiful and wondrous in its own right: airbnb.ca/users/show/5962 -- Harper's an amazing host, too!
Music: Fibonacci by Adam Disch
Shot on Sony a7s + Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 (adapted with Metabones Speed Booster IV).
Last summer, my grandmother flew in from Manila to stay at my parent's house in the Toronto area for two months. While she was staying with us, she agreed to participate in an on-camera interview and some portrait-style shots -- lucky for us, because capturing and sharing her story is so important.
Note on the title of this video: in Tagalog, "Nanay" means mother, and this is what everyone in my family has always called my grandmother. Also, on a more topical note, it's interesting to see the footage of the Toronto Islands, which remain largely closed to the public this summer due to high water levels.
Music: Blake Ewing - Gravity, and Blake Ewing - You + Me.
Shot on the Sony A7s, mostly with the Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 (adapted with Metabones Speed Booster IV).
On memory and dreams, at their diaphanous best. Also, a family vacation retrospective.
Co-narrated by my son Kai (in exchange for a cookie).
Music: Lights & Motion - As They Sleep.
Shot mostly on the Sony A7s, mostly with the Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 (adapted with Metabones Speed Booster IV) and some Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS. Water shots on the Sony RX100iv with Meikon underwater housing.
